 2017 Summer Camp Theme Descriptions

Let’s get acquainted
Children will get to know each other through group activities, fun games, and projects.

Zootopia
The children will have fun learning about nature, science, and the animal kingdom. They will also play stimulating games, create arts and crafts, and enjoy a trip to the zoo!

Techie Camp
The children will explore how robots and sensors work, they will code, build, test, and create! Kids will also experiment hands-on with toys and technology to build spatial reasoning and critical thinking skills.

Construction
This week the children will feel inspired to find the little architect in them. They will be fascinated to learn about the huge vehicles and materials used for construction. Then they will use their creativity and imagination to build their own houses and fun structures using recycled materials.

Green Eggs and Ham
“The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Children will learn, read, and explore Dr. Seuss books and learn about this amazing author. The children will participate in the legend of Dr. Seuss by writing their own book. They will feel inspired by what they learn to use language as an art.

Pokémon on the Go
Children will travel with Pokémon characters to different landmarks of the world. Children will explore and learn about these different places through engaging activities.

Space is the Place
To infinity and beyond! What child does not dream about exploring space? Dream no longer—children will learn about galaxies near and far, the moon, the stars, and the planets that make up our Universe.

Bug’s life
Insects are a part of our everyday life. Children will discover and learn about the life of insects in an amusing environment. Children will enjoy making their own bug box in which to collect and study their favorite insects.

America the Beautiful
Children will explore and learn different states and some of their special features each day. They will discover fun and informative facts such as why California is called “The Golden State” and which state is nicknamed “America’s Dairyland”. Fifty states, here we come!!

Green World
This camp will allow children to explore and investigate different kinds of trees and plants and understand their importance. They will learn how different vegetables and fruits grow and learn to appreciate the art of gardening.

Carnival
This week prepare yourself for a week of crazy carnival fun!! Enjoy super fun carnival team activities, art & crafts, games with prizes, yummy treats and more.
